The introduction of a feature dubbed “camera continuity” stands out as a major highlight of One UI 7. It enables users to quickly and efficiently share recently taken photos – including handwritten notes and scanned documents – into Samsung Notes or Samsung Internet. Such functionality could radically reduce the time spent transferring images compared to existing methods like Quick Share. Currently, users can already benefit from functionalities such as locating items between devices using Samsung Find, as well as utilizing Quick Share for file transfers and Link to Windows to manage notifications. However, these features primarily leverage standard Windows 11 capabilities. With One UI 7, Samsung appears poised to elevate the integration between its Galaxy series even further. The camera continuity feature is set to be located within the “continue on other devices” section found in the new One UI 7 settings. This area will also incorporate other valuable tools, such as copying text and sharing Wi-Fi networks between Galaxy phones and Galaxy Books. While the previous version, One UI 6, included a similar concept, it lacked the extensive capabilities anticipated with this latest update. At this stage, the feature is still in development and has yet to be activated, raising questions about its reliability and functionality once released. Currently, it appears only on Galaxy S series phones running on the One UI 7 beta, leaving potential users curious about the anticipated roll-out timelines and any limitations that may arise once the full feature set is available.
