Despite the persistent use of non-rechargeable batteries, Apple is expected to introduce noteworthy enhancements in the upcoming AirTag 2. One significant added feature is improved theft and tampering safeguards. Following rising concerns about the misuse of AirTags for stalking, Apple has acknowledged the need for greater security. To this end, the second generation will reportedly have repositioned internals that make it more challenging to access the built-in speaker and integrate tamper-resistant features.
