In her new role, Kalinowski aims to initially focus on OpenAI’s robotics projects and partnerships to effectively integrate AI into tangible solutions that benefit humanity. With her background in augmented reality from Meta, where she led the team behind the innovative AR glasses prototype, Orion, Kalinowski is well-positioned to drive OpenAI’s vision in the realm of robotics.
Moreover, the possibility of consumer hardware powered by OpenAI’s large language model raises intriguing prospects. The tech community is keenly watching as the company reportedly collaborates with renowned product designer Jony Ive, who formerly served as Apple’s Chief Design Officer.
